Sustainable Farming
Our farm emphasizes the importance of eating local healthy green food, especially greens that can be consumed raw in salads, smoothies, juices, and wraps.
We have 164 plants to choose from in creating and preparing our unique products. Of those plants, 98 percent can be consumed raw, and 73 percent provide chlorophyll-rich edible shoots or leafy greens. In addition, 57 percent are highly sustainable perennials that come back each year, 45 percent produce edible flowers that are packed with highly nutritious phytochemicals, that look and taste delicious.
Some of the most nutritious plants on the planet are wild. They grow not because of us, but for us, despite us. Our challenge is learning to identify them to safely include them in our diet. Food is our best medicine.
